CERTIFIED SPECIALISTS
​​​Corrie Collier, MS, CCC-SLP is a licensed speech-language pathologist with advanced training in structured literacy. She has over 12 years of experience working with children with speech-language and learning differences. Her very favorite part of her work is watching her students' confidence grow. Corrie lives in Seacoast New Hampshire with her husband, their toddler son, and their goofy dog. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, playing board games, and listening to audiobooks. Corrie has a bachelor's degree from Emory University and a master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Carolina. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She is also a certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist through the International Dyslexia Association's Center for Effective Reading Instruction and is Orton-Gillingham certified at the Associate level by the Orton-Gillingham Academy.

Joy Cowles, MAT

Joy Cowles, MAT is an Orton-Gillingham certified teacher with experience providing literacy intervention for students in pre-kindergarten through high school. Joy lives on the North Shore in Massachusetts with her husband, three sons, and their puppy Ellie. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University and is licensed as a Teacher of English as a Second Language from Gordon College. Joy is Orton-Gillingham certified through an IMSLEC accredited program where she completed the advanced level Certified Dyslexia Practitioner 2 certification.
Beth Lupa, M.Ed., Ed.S.

Beth Lupa, M.Ed., Ed.S. is a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and holds an Associate Level Orton-Gillingham Certification. She most enjoys making an impact on students lives and watching them grow. Beth finds it most rewarding to see students gain confidence as they make progress in skills they thought they couldn’t do. She makes learning fun and engaging through multi sensory activities and games that encourage them to participate. Beth lives with her husband, two kids, dog, and cat. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and going to the beach. Beth's education includes a Ed.S. Degree in Reading from Gordon College, M.Ed. Degree in Reading and Language Acquisition from UMass Lowell, and a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education from Salem State University. Beth taught for 12 years as a classroom teacher in kindergarten, first, and second grade. She then taught as a title one reading and specialized reading teacher for 4 years, and has worked as as a special education inclusion teacher for 3 years.
Meredith Orton, MS, CCC-SLP

Meredith Orton, MS, CCC-SLP is a licensed pediatric speech language pathologist and reading practitioner certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach (A/OGA). She has extensive experience working with clients and students who have executive function, speech/language, and reading difficulties in both the education setting and in private practice. Meredith loves spending time with her husband, daughter, son, and Bernese mountain dog. She also loves to CrossFit, read, and hike.
Barbara Sack, M.Ed.

Barbara Sack, M.Ed. is a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner, Level 1 certified through IMSLEC and IDA . She's a state certified teacher and holds a Masters in Elementary Education. Barbara has tutored students using the Orton-Gillingham approach for the last eight years. She lives in Seacoast New Hampshire with her husband and chocolate lab, Gracie. Barbara has three grown up kids and six grand girls! She thinks the best part about tutoring is seeing growth in students - not only progress in reading and literacy skills, but students feeling good about themselves and realizing their hard work is paying off. She sees how this realization helps them in all aspects of their educational and lifetime journey.
Alyssa Cardone-Ryer
Office & Operations Manager

Alyssa Cardone-Ryer is the Office and Operations Manager at Collier Literacy. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration: Management from the University of New Hampshire. Alyssa gained her experience working with children and their families through her 12 years working with Navy Child and Youth Programs on the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. She loves being a calm presence, resource and safe space for families, especially during times of change, and is fascinated with child development and learning. Alyssa lives in Maine with her husband, 2 children and a grouchy cat. When not working, she can typically be found doing puzzles, reading, singing musicals or relaxing outdoors.
