Orton-Gillingham Reading Instructor (certified)

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individualized Orton-Gillingham lessons for individual and/or small group lessons

• Set learning objectives and provide ongoing informal assessment and written progress notes

• Communicate and collaborate with families and teachers

 

Location

• Private practice located in Hampton, NH and/or on-site throughout Seacoast NH and North Shore MA.

• Additional compensation for on-site sessions.

• In person lessons, school day and/or after school hours

 

Clients Served

• Elementary, middle, and/or high school-aged students

• Learning needs include reading, spelling, phonological awareness, writing, and comprehension

 

Qualifications and Skills

• Current Orton-Gillingham certification

• Experience working in special education and/or with students with learning differences

• Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and executive function needs

• Master’s degree in education or a related field
